What is SIP Trunking?
SIP Trunking uses the latest VoIP standard – SIP, to deliver phone service to your company's PBX via the internet.

How SIP Trunking Works

To use Websecure SIP Trunking you will need:

An IP PBX is a Private Branch Exchange that support Voice over IP (VoIP) and can switch calls between VoIP on local lines.

Tip: You can also use a traditional PBX, in which case you will need a Gateway to connect the PBX to IP.
- A SIP Trunking device

It can be either a SIP card or SIP enabled module installed in your PBX, which allows the data network to carry voice traffic.
- A Static IP address

This is used to allow voice traffic ‘to and from’ this address in our system only.
